Sharks begin season with two-game road swing in Canada

The NHL has yet to release a full schedule for the lockout-ravaged season, but we already know a little bit on how the Sharks will open their 48-game campaign.

CSN’s Kevin Kurz informs us that the Sharks will likely kick off their year with at least a back-to-back in Canada, beginning on Jan. 20 in Calgary against the Flames, followed by a visit to the Oilers in Edmonton the very next night.

The Sharks were 1-0-1 separately in both Calgary and Edmonton last season.

The full revised schedule is expected to be released in the coming days, after the players union ratifies the new collective bargaining agreement.
