Stanford’s Pep Hamilton leaving to become Colts OC


There’s a Stanford reunion taking place in Indianapolis. Pep Hamilton will be rejoining his former football pupils Andrew Luck and Coby Fleener on the Colts, who named the Stanford OC to the same position on Friday.

Parks and Rec star Jim Irsay hinted about the hiring earlier in the day on Twitter:

Hamilton comes to Indy replacing Bruce Arians, who took the Arizona Cardinals head coaching position on Thursday. At Stanford, Hamilton was Luck and Fleener’s OC for their final year in 2011. During that season Stanford averaged a school-record 43.15 points per game. The season before Hamilton was the team’s wide receivers coach. He was promoted to OC when David Shaw became the Cardinal head coach.
