Jaymee Sire leaving CSN Bay Area for ESPN?

According to Bay Area Sports Guy, CSN Bay Area’s Jaymee Sire is leaving the network for a job with ESPN.

Nothing has been announced officially, but Sire has removed “CSN” from her Twitter handle, as well as any mentions of affiliation to the network in her Twitter bio. BASG says that she and CSNBA are parting ways amicably.

Sire has had several roles with CSNBA since joining in 2008, including covering the Warriors, Giants and anchoring SportsNet Central, and has been one of its more popular personalities. She also has her own food blog.

It’s not clear what responsibilities she would assume at the four-letter network, or how much Darren Rovell feels threatened by somebody at ESPN being a bigger foodie than him.

UPDATE (March 28, 2013): Sire has finally confirmed that she is indeed now employed by ESPN.
