Warriors reportedly trade Charles Jenkins and Jeremy Tyler in deadline deals

The Warriors reportedly were able to sneak in two last-minute deals before the trade deadline that sent Jeremy Tyler and Charles Jenkins packing.

Tyler goes to the Hawks while Jenkins was sent to the Sixers. The Warriors are reportedly receiving a second-round pick in return from each team.

The trades were effectively contract dumps as the Warriors shaved their salaries to get under the luxury tax. The Warriors trading Tyler and Jenkins or possibly also Kent Bazemore with financial motivation at root had previously been speculated.

The deals shouldn’t hurt the team on the court, as both Tyler and Jenkins are not in Mark Jackson’s rotation.

And of course this means that Tyler and Jenkins won’t get to wear the Warriors’ humiliating T-shirt jerseys, which debut Friday. They dodged a bullet there.
