The 49ers reportedly are scheduled to meet with free agent defensive end John Abraham late Friday, per USA Today’s Mike Garafolo.
The Niners continue to search for insurance on the defensive front with the potential departures of unrestricted free agents Isaac Sopoaga and Ricky Jean Francois.
Abraham, 35, had 36 tackles and 10 sacks in 16 games last season with the Falcons, who made him a salary cap victim last week. Abraham played end in Atlanta, though the Niners could use him as a rushing outside backer in their 3-4 defense.
Abraham reportedly met with the Seahawks earlier on Friday and is scheduled to later visit Tennessee and New Orleans.
The Niners also met with defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins earlier this week.
