Stanford’s Dwight Powell to return for senior season

Two days after its first-round exit in the Pac-12 Tournament, Stanford’s basketball team got some good news on Friday when forward Dwight Powell said he will be returning for his senior season.

Powell was named to the All-Pac-12 first team and was recognized as the conference’s Most Improved Player earlier this week. He averaged 15.4 points and 8.2 rebounds this season.

You may also remember Powell from when Cal star Allen Crabbe’s Oscar-worthy performance after Powell bumped into him incited that glorified shoving match between Cal and Stanford earlier this month. Stanford won the game. Everyone lost the shoving match.
