Former 49ers, Bears DT Anthony Adams announces retirement at a White Castle (Video)

Defensive tackle Anthony Adams, who played four seasons with the 49ers from 2003-2006, called it a wrap on his career this week when he announced his retirement at a… wait for it… White Castle restaurant.

Makes total sense to me.

The former second-round pick signed with the Bears as a free agent in 2007. In nine career seasons, Adams had 10.5 sacks along with 214 tackles. After Chicago released him last March, Adams spent his time producing comedy videos that made light of his employment woes.

All of which leads us to White Castle. Because what’s better than announcing your retirement from the National Football League in front of an advertisement for sweet potato waffle fries?
