Raiders sign RB Rashad Jennings, says Rashad Jennings

Sounds as if the Raiders have picked up free agent running back Rashad Jennings:

The Raiders haven’t announced anything yet. We’ll update when they do. (UPDATE, April 11: It’s officially official.)

Jennings, who spent the past four seasons with the Jaguars, will probably be Darren McFadden’s backup because there’s not really anybody else. Mike Goodson has departed to be laughed at with Jets and Taiwan Jones decided he was really born a cornerback in a running back’s body.

Jennings, 28, rushed for 283 yards and two touchdowns on 101 carries last season. Against the Raiders in Week 7, he had 44 yards and touchdown on 21 carries to go along with seven catches for 58 yards. He’ll also be joining offensive coordinator Greg Olsen, who was the QB coach in Jacksonville last year.

It was a big day on social media for prospective Raiders players, as far as big days on social media for prospective Raiders players go. Free agent safety Reggie Smith also Instagrammed a photo of him with Raiders paperwork channeling Biggie with the caption “I’m going going back back to Cali Cali.”
