According to Rusty Simmons, Andrew Bogut is listed day-to-day by the Warriors after an MRI revealed a bone bruise in his left ankle.
The center had already been ruled out for Friday’s tilt against the Lakers in So Cal.
Bout left the Warriors’ loss to the Thunder on Thursday late in the first quarter. He reportedly originally sprained the ankle Tuesday against the Timberwolves. This is the same ankle that’s been twice surgically repaired and caused him to miss almost the entire first half of the season.
Simmons also reports that the MRI will be sent to the doctor who performed offseason surgery on the ankle for a second opinion.
Hard to say right now if seeking a second opinion is because the Warriors want to be extra-cautious or if the team didn’t like the initial results from the MRI.
For now though, day-to-day is the prognosis. The Warriors have three games remaining to stay above the Rockets to keep the critical sixth seed in the West.
