Raiders among teams on Willis McGahee wishlist

The big AFC West news on Thursday was that the Broncos released starting running back Willis McGahee.

But already the 31 year old has a short list of teams whom he’d like to play for this upcoming season. And, lucky for the Raiders, they reportedly made the cut:

McGahee made the Pro Bowl two seasons ago with nearly 1,200 yards rushing, but at 31 he’s on the last legs on a career he’s lucky to have even had. Still, don’t think McGahee wouldn’t be a great back-up option if/when Darren McFadden has a paper cut that gets infected and shuts down his season.

But the Raiders probably won’t bite. They’re confident in the backfield they have, which after McFadden includes free agent acquisition Rashad Jennings and rookie Latavius Murray.
