Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got engaged at AT&T Park

We’re no TMZ, so we’ll try to keep this news item as sports related as possible. Here goes…

Kim Kardashian, ex-wife of NBA player Kris Humphries, also ex-girlfriend to NFL players Reggie Bush and Miles Austin, reportedly got engaged to Kanye West, NBA team intro song-maker, mortal enemy to said Mr. Humphries and possible crazy person, Monday night. And guess where it all went down!

From E! News:

The E! star is engaged to longtime love Kanye West, the rapper popping the question in front of their friends and family at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

Kanye, whose Yeezus Tour touches down in nearby San Jose tomorrow night, rented out the stadium for the occasion.

Rented out the stadium for the occasion. I have a feeling that’s slightly different than that one time my parents rented out a table at Chuck E Cheese’s for my birthday. How many $120 T-shirts to do you have to sell to make that happen?

More details from SF Gate:

When the couple stepped out on the field, the screen that usually shows hits, runs and errors read “Please Marry Me” instead.

Kardashian, not a coy woman, gave an immediate yes as 50 musicians played songs including West’s “Knock Me Down.” Fireworks and candle-like flames were shot into the night sky, and West presented her with a 15-carat diamond ring. [...]

A bunch of friends and family members were on hand, and they ran out of the dugout when the proposal was accepted.

Spelling correction: “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” You always have to remember, E before E and then followed by E.

The Giants’ season has long been over but that doesn’t mean AT&T Park still can’t play stage to one of a mankind’s most important moments. So, buck up, Giants fans. The season wasn’t a total loss!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to prepare for the inevitable devastating earthquake, fire falling from the sky, demons invading the streets and swarm of sharknados.
