Sharks get first regulation loss after last-second goal (Video)

The Sharks’ first regulation loss of the season was a heartbreaker. The Sharks looked to be headed to overtime, and thus keeping their point streak alive to start the season, against the Bruins on Thursday. Then David Krejci had to go and be a hero:

Ugh. With 0.8 seconds left in the game. Literally a last-second goal. The Sharks feverishly outshot the Bruins, 39-16, before Krejci tipped the puck past Antti Niemi. Now they’ll have nothing to show for it, not even orange slices or juice boxes after the game. And Boston fans get to celebrate yet another win in something.

And now, a list of fun things in sports, ranked:

1. Seeing your team win.
2. Being stabbed in the eye with a pencil.
3. Seeing Boston sports fans celebrate anything

But, hey, at least the Sox lost on Thursday!

The Sharks stay put at 17 points on the year, two clear in the Pacific of second-place Vancouver.
